Care tool

Overview

The Care Tool Study is a social determinants of health study that is part of the Washington University Accert Center. The first aim of the study is to update cost information using MEPS data in Dr. Mary Politi's web-based tool, I-Can-PIC: http://icanpic.org/pages/guest_login/
The current I-Can-Pic website uses a regression model to calculate costs and is programmed in AWS.

ICS' Role

Their team need help from a programmer/developer to assist them with updating the existing AWS code. They are working with Dr. Su-Hsin Chang to lead the update to the model, and needed assistance with programming in AWS.

  • Application code was retrieved by creating another EC2 instance from the exisiting EC2 instance.
  • Upon evaluation, we concluded that PE would not take ownership of the project, however, PE will provide support to Housten, Ashley & Politi, Mary as needed.
